Physical dedicated servers built exactly how you need them. No sharing resources with anyone. Just raw performance, enterprise security, and the kind of support where we actually know your setup inside-out. Because sometimes 'good enough' isn't good enough.

Bare-metal servers are physical dedicated servers. Actual hardware that’s yours and yours alone. No sharing with anyone else. Just maximum performance, complete control, and the best privacy you can get.
Think of it like the difference between renting a flat in a building versus owning the entire building. Cloud Servers are brilliant: dedicated virtual machines with great performance. But Bare-metal? That’s when you need the absolute maximum. No compromises.
We configure them with the same enterprise stack we use for everything else (LiteSpeed, Sophos MDR, Imunify360), monitor them 24/7, and manage them like we would our own. This isn’t datacenter colocation where you’re on your own. We’re here, we know your setup, and we own problems when they happen.
Every Bare-metal build is custom, but here are some examples to give you an idea of what's possible. We build to any specification you need—these are just starting points.

1. Same Enterprise Stack, Fully Configured
Your Bare-metal server isn't a blank box you need to figure out. It comes configured with the same enterprise tools we use for all our hosting: LiteSpeed Enterprise, Sophos MDR, Imunify360, proper monitoring, and tested backups. We set it up properly, monitor it 24/7, and manage it like our own infrastructure.
2. No Sharing, No Compromises
Physical hardware means you're not sharing resources with anyone. Your processing power, memory, and storage are dedicated entirely to you. For applications that need every ounce of performance, the difference between Cloud and Bare-metal can mean noticeably better results.
3. Ultimate Privacy and Compliance
With Bare-metal, there are no other customers on the same physical hardware. Your data lives on hardware dedicated to you alone. For financial services, healthcare, government work, or businesses that take privacy seriously, this is as separated as it gets short of running your own datacenter.
4. Custom Builds for Complex Needs
A single server can have up to 256 CPU cores, 2TB of RAM, and 100TB+ of storage. Need more? We build multi-server clusters with separate web, database, and security servers, high-availability configurations, and clustered storage arrays. Whatever your architecture needs, we can build it.
5. We Own It, Even When It's Complex
A Bare-metal customer's database was performing poorly. Technically not our problem, it was application-level. We spent three hours analysing queries, rebuilding indexes, and working with their development team to fix it. Because 'not our problem' isn't how we operate.
Bare-metal Is Perfect When You Need:
Applications where every millisecond matters. Large databases. Resource-intensive processing. When Cloud is fast but you need faster.
Compliance requirements. Financial services. Healthcare data. Government work. Privacy-critical applications where sharing hardware isn’t acceptable.
Sites consistently handling hundreds of thousands or millions of daily visitors. Large e-commerce platforms during peak seasons. Applications where performance directly impacts revenue.
Separate web, database, and caching servers. Load-balanced configurations. High-availability setups with failover. Clustered storage requirements.
A single Bare-metal server can have up to 256 CPU cores, 2TB of RAM, and 100TB+ of storage. Need more than that? Multi-server setups can go much, much bigger.
You’ve outgrown even our largest Cloud Server. You need physical hardware with no compromises.
When to Consider Cloud Instead:
If your site or application runs well on Cloud, Bare-metal is probably overkill. Cloud Servers give you dedicated resources without the cost of physical hardware. Bare-metal starts from £995/month. Make sure you need it.
Cloud Servers can be resized relatively quickly. Bare-metal requires physical hardware changes, which takes longer. If you need to scale resources up and down frequently, Cloud is more flexible.
Unless you’re testing specific hardware configurations, Cloud is more cost-effective for dev/staging environments. Save Bare-metal for production when you genuinely need the performance.
Most businesses should start with Cloud Servers. You can always move to Bare-metal later when you’re certain you need it. It’s a natural progression: Shared → Cloud → Bare-metal.
Be honest: Do you actually need physical dedicated servers, or would Cloud work fine? We won’t upsell you. If Cloud meets your needs, we’ll tell you. Integrity over incentives.

We have dedicated pages for platforms that commonly run on Bare-metal, with platform-specific details and optimisations.

Bare-metal servers aren’t one-size-fits-all. They’re built to your exact specifications. Give us a shout and we’ll discuss what you actually need, what it’ll cost, and whether Bare-metal is genuinely the right fit.
No pressure, no games. Just an honest conversation about infrastructure.
